Song of Green Door: Spring Grief
By: Zhang Xian

With a faint cold lingering;
Wind and rain abate in the evening.
The Mourning Day draws near,
In my lonely pavilion
I’m drunk before the faded flowers
Just as last year.

Woken up by the horn
Blowing from city tower,
I feel forlorn
Within the double door in the midnight hour.
How can I bear it as the bright moon bring
Over the wall the shadow of her swing!
